Pink Valentine

Here at Philadelphia Cakes we are always working on new recipes to share with our customers, and with Valentine's Day around the corner we are offering a special cupcake for you and your sweet to share.
Rose Pink cupcakes!  These cupcakes are rose flavored cake, which is a delicate sweet flower like flavor, with vanilla buttercream and topped with a small pink fondant rose bud.  The cake itself is pink, perfect topping for your Valentine display.
They are delicious as well!  Order them now for only $18 a dozen and share them with friends, lovers, family, or no one at all.
If rose flavor is not your thing, we suggest trying a dozen of our red velvet cupcakes, topped with chocolate whip cream frosting and a chocolate dipped strawberry and your Valentine dessert is done.  Only $18 for a dozen cupcakes, $7 for the chocolate dipped strawberry toppers.
Hope your Valentine's Day is SWEET this year!

Castle fit for a Princess

This was another look alike cake request.  The cake was a four year old's birthday party with a Disney princess theme.  Although we didn't get pictures, the girl's mother had princess candles to place all over the castle.  This would be the perfect cake for your little princess, regardless of the theme.  Here is the back of the cake.

Cake was red velvet with cream cheese frosting, fondant, and plastic pillars covered in fondant, gumpaste number.  Everything is edible but the pillars!

Welcome Baby!

This was our first baby shower order, however the baby arrived before the shower!  No reason to waste a good party so the celebration continued.  The only instruction that was given was to use hot pink and lime green as part of the color scheme.  We went with a quilted look around the sides of the cake, tiling two colors of pink.  Then we had lime green and pink rattles, diaper pins, and bottled around the sides.  They loved the cake and baby Catalina was celebrated in style!

Cake is red velvet with cream cheese frosting, fondant covered.

Princess Crown Cake

There are some orders that we receive that are requests of cakes they found on the internet.  In these cases we usually get one picture and that's it.  There's usually no picture of the back and never any instructions.  But we welcome these orders!  Every copy-cat cake we make is a new challenge to figure out structure and get the design to mimic the original as best as possible.  So with this design, we did change a little from the original but it was so close to the picture that the customer and we were very happy with it.

Cake was red velvet with cream cheese filling, covered in fondant, sugar pearls, and topped with a gum paste crown.

We looked all over the internet to give credit to the artist, but we couldn't find it. If this is yours tell us.

Whip Cream & Strawberries

Gluten free strawberry shortcake take two!  This was an order for a special birthday.  Turning 30 and keeping a strawberry shortcake tradition alive, without the gluten.  We tried a new recipe with this order and can now offer three gluten free flavor options: vanilla, chocolate, and almond.

Cake was gluten free almond with vanilla whip cream and strawberry filling, frosted with vanilla whip cream.  Try a strawberry whip cream cake today, with or without gluten.

Christmas in July

Christmas is arguably the most festive time of the year, so why not celebrate twice?  This order channeled the holiday spirit with a fun summer twist.

The cake was almond flavored and frosted in buttercream.  Letters were chocolate and all decorations were created from fondant.  Here's a closer look at the sunny ornaments.
